Let’s clear the air

During the past few years, the evaluation of contaminated air’s impact on human health is taking on greater importance in site remediation and assessment. It is no longer adequate to only characterize the extent of soil and water/groundwater contamination at a site. The impact of the soil and groundwater contamination upon the quality of indoor air in current as well as future structures is often equally important. Lancaster Laboratories offers a full set of capabilities for analyzing ambient, indoor, subslab and soil vapor air samples to compliment the traditional water and soil work performed at many sites.

Did you know that?

  • Lancaster Laboratories is certified for air analysis by EPA Method TO-15 in eight states that offer the certification, including New Jersey. (Most states do not offer air accreditation.)
  • Lancaster Laboratories is proceeding with setting up for and applying for certification under NJDEP’s new Low-Level TO-15 Method.
  • Most compounds under Lancaster Laboratories’ TO-15 analysis are already able to be reported to an MDL of 0.2 ppbv.
  • All Lancaster Laboratories’ Summa canister certifications are certified down to an MDL of 0.2 ppbv.
  • Lancaster Laboratories analyzes for a variety of tracer gases to help with assessment of soil vapor collections.
  • Lancaster Laboratories has recently added a new Summa canister cleaning system to decrease the time necessary to clean, certify and ship a Summa canister.
