To better serve customers and determine precisely what service features they prefer when setting up a project, the IT Team at Lancaster Laboratories went directly to the source. Project Management Webinars were held with customers to serve as on-line focus groups, garnering valuable service feedback. Communication, information flow and overall analytical process improvements resulting from the fact-finding sessions include:
Project Notes: Project specifics are managed by the technical departments with input from Client Services. This information is stored in such a way that ensures the specifics are available for each and every sample submitted. This will improve quality and TAT by having notes readily available during each step in the process. This information can be stored by the following four ways:
Client Compound Lists: For customers who want limited compounds from a method, this information will be stored with their account and/or projects and will then be available automatically to the labs, thereby saving analysts’ time by not having to look up project requirements.
Also at the analysts fingertips are Action Limits, Method Detection Limits, and Limits of Quantitation information if customers need different limits than in the method. Client specific reporting units can also be maintained with the client lists.
Client specific significant figures will also be available when required by a regulatory agency.
Action Limit: A client can also request action limits for a list of compounds at an account or project level.
