New Powered by Locus resource provides customizable report formats

Lancaster Laboratories is pleased to offer clients true database functionality through an online program called Powered by Locus.

According to national programs director Don Wyand, clients already have access to their verified analytical results through LLabWeb, Lancaster Labs’ secure Internet-enabled program. Now, Powered by Locus provides access to the analytical data plus the ability to download the data in customizable report formats. This powerful data management tool provides the flexibility to create reports and to sort and summarize data through the Web portal to meet the many data reporting requirements of consultants and industrial clients.

Wyand explains that clients have traditionally loaded Lancaster Labs’ data into their own databases. Now, Powered by Locus allows the company to output more than 30 data fields into Excel, Word, XML, HTML or text files for the client. Lancaster Labs can also work with clients to setup specific valid values if the project requires it or to create a report in their preferred format. And, he notes that clients don’t need to install a costly software program on their own systems to access these resources.

“We’re delighted to add Powered by Locus capability to our environmental data access services,” says Wyand. “We worked with Locus Technologies in the development and testing process, and we are proud to be the first laboratory to offer the service to our clients. We think it’s very valuable for consultants in industries that don’t currently database their analytical results. The Powered by Locus tool will reduce their time and costs associated with electronic data processing.”
